- דִּידְבָא(דִּדְבָא) דּוּדְבָא m. (= דנדבא, v. דִּיבְבָא) fly. Ḥull.58b לות די׳ בת שתא (Ar. דד׳) no fly lives a whole year. Ber.44a עד דהוה שריק ליה דו׳וכ׳ (Ms. M. דשריא … דור׳; v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note) so that a fly would glide down his (fat and smooth) face.Gitt.86b דִּידְבְתָא דביני כיפי a large fly found among sheaves.
